The power of stories

Showing the difference that training makes is a continual challenge for those in the education and training business.
This year, FitzBeck Creative headed to the country to interview farmers about how training helps their business. The material featured in the Agriculture Industry Training Organisation’s 2007 Annual Report, which we also designed.
The story is very different for dairy farmers and sheep farmers. For dairy farmers, training is the key to sustained growth, for sheep farmers it’s the key to survival in these tough times.
It’s vital to capture the human truth behind statistics, says FitzBeck writer, Mike Fitzsimons. “Taking the time to meet with farmers and understand their reality makes all the difference to the communications you can develop. Telling their stories is what makes the communication vivid and memorable. Stories have the most impact.”
