Making the most of a
conference

Nearly 400 people from throughout the Pacific health sector gathered in Auckland for the second Pacific health providers fono - Akirata: Achieving Excellence in the Pacific Health Sector. The biennial, two-day conference, which attracted Pacific health professionals from all over the country as well as the Pacific, featured a wide variety of keynote speakers and provider workshops.

One challenge is to share good practice and ideas. FitzBeck attended the Akirata Fono, interviewed a wide range of experts and produced a range of print, web and DVD resources to communicate the latest developments.

Conferences are an ideal opportunity to source communications material that can have multiple uses.
