It’s a beautiful spot – but not for everyone. Merivale in Tauranga is among New Zealand’s most deprived communities and residents there face significant economic and social challenges. But help is at hand. The Merivale Community Centre has developed a new community-building model based on extensive research and grassroots action. Positive and Proud is a publication that charts their progress to date.
